Itunes gift card stuck at processing

I recently bought a $100 USD gift card for someone and emailed to them. It initially said it would send the gift card to them in a hour, it never happened. I waited 24 hours and it still hasn't been sent. I tried going to my settings to resend the gift card but the purchase was nowhere seen on my account. Is there any other way to fix this? I also tried emailing but I still haven't gotten an email back.
