Can i attach the strap of 40 mm watch to the 44 mm watch?
Physically it will attach, but the 40mm band is not as wide as the 44mm case, so it will look odd, and the now unprotected 44mm case edges may scratch your skin, or catch on shirts, sweaters, etc...

yeah you can just it won't look right because it is smaller you can attach a 38mm band to a 40mm band and a 42mm band to a 44mm band
