If you’re looking for the password to update your iPhone, it may be a Screen Time passcode restricting updates. Try this:

If you’re using a Mac, it may be asking for the password you use to log into your Mac. Note that changes to your Mac require authorization from the administrator account. If you’re using a Standard account and you see this prompt, it needs the password that the administrator uses to log in.
