How long does the power reserve last? How do you get rid of this power reserve on the screen?

I have had Power Reserve let my Watch last for about a week before. if you drop below a certain battery percentage, it will automatically turn on and you will not be able to leave Power Reserve until it's charged back up.
How long does the power reserve last? How do you get rid of this power reserve on the screen?
