You haven't said where or how you made your calendar. Was it in Photos? I can't recall exactly when Photos was introduced to macOS as a replacement for iPhoto but I think it was around the time of 10.10 or 10.11 so you should have it on your MacBook Pro.
Part of Photos is a plug in called Mimeo Photos. This is software to assemble photo albums and calendars for printing. It's not the only software to do this. You can find others on the App store, and also Mimeo. The current version requires macOS 10.13 but the earlier versions may work with your installation of 10.11 El Capitan. If you have a calendar created it shouldn't be too difficult to re-create it in a Mimeo project.
Once installed, use the drop-down options File > Create > Calendar [then either Mimeo or App store] to start the creation of your work.
