houston i have a problem
on my mac is all my 45000 raws in album and folders by year
but when they are sync to the cloud is most of Them in places (they are geo tagges)
but no folders
any tricks to get my folders on too i phone
Sorry - I should have specified. Is that the phone, or the Mac - which ever it is, please also check the other. Are they both saying updated? Are they both saying the same number of photos/videos.
Oh, yes - and your albums aren't smart albums, are they? Iphone cant show smart albums.
Every time you switch iCloud on and off, it will restart a complete sync again. It took 48 hours to sync my 6000 item library - so you could be looking at two weeks or more since the last time you restarted it. And for that the mac has to be on and connected to power 24/7
Again - what is the status shown at the bottom of the all photos view.?
If you are actually running aperture, then all bets are off. Aperture is no longer supported. I don't understand why folders that are in iCloud are not in the phones - but if they have been created by aperture, I'd say the same thing - all bets are off.
In your position, I'd recreate the folders and albums in photos, and copy the images in.
Is the sync to iCloud fully complete? What does the status say at the bottom of the all photos view?
Sorry - when you say your lib is from Aperture. Do you mean a library that has been converted from aperture to photos?
Were the albums created in Aperture.
If so, what happens if you create a new folder in Photos - does that show up on the phone?
What about if you make a new album on the mac - does it transfer to the phone? I'm wondering if somehow the albums created in Aperture are in some way not compatible with iCloud.
On your mac, do they appear in the standard location under "my albums" in the left hand bar? Are they under a special folder of any type (eg "aperture albums")?

thanks for helping
i did this the First time
made a new lib imported all the photos and synced
all photos came up into the cloud
and i Can see Them when i log on with Safari on to icloud
then i reinstalled Big sur tried agian same thing
then download Aperture and ran the patch so it runs on Big sur just have the photos in (no adjustments) and same thing
all folders are on the cloud but nothing on any iPhone (11 pro) or iPad all running the iOS 14.3 or where the newest version is

if i make a album on the phone it comes in to photo spp on mac
Actually - given that photos naturally organises by year/month/day without any folders or albums, I'd probably ditch them completely. In fact, that is exactly what I did 😃
