Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
In Photos on my iMac I get the warning that my iCloud storage is full. When I select "learn more" I see that I have actually 17.94 GB left of my 50 GB storage capacity.
Does anyone one have any ideas why I still get this message and how I can resolve this so all my photo's from my iMac can be backed up to iCloud?
Is the 17 GB enough for all the photos you want to copy to iCloud?
Has your mac library previously been synced with iCloud - if not it is possible you will need enough space in iCloud for a complete copy of your current library as part of the sync process.

You are aware that iCloud is not an off computer storage facility, right? It's a syncing feature. Any files in the iCloud library will be mirrored in the local library. Also any changes, editing, additions and deletions will be mirrored in the iCloud library.
Hi Tony, that's a good point. I kind of thought that Photos would backup to iCloud until iCloud was full.
I checked the space the photo's library took up and it was 74 GB which is of course more than the 17 GB I have left in iCloud.
I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and just buy more iCloud space.
