When my daughter calls from Canada, her facetime video doesn’t work. Only contact this happens with. I can’t FaceTime her. Using an ipad. My spouses works.

When my daughter calls from Canada, her facetime video doesn’t work. I can receive FaceTime audio calls from her.


She is the only contact that this happens with. I can’t FaceTime her either. I am using an ipad. My spouses ipad works with her.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! We see you're having an issue with FaceTime video, but with just one contact and we'd like to help.


When you try to FaceTime video your daughter, what happens? Do you get an error message?


If you go to her entry in the Contact app, is the video option showing available?


Is your iPad cellular + Wi-Fi? If so, does the same issue happen with Wi-Fi and cellular?


Take a look at the information in this article, even though this only happens with one contact:

If you can't make a FaceTime call on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


Also, remove and then re-add her contact in the Contact app, then try again.
