If you have a Mac Pro Mid-2012 (MacPro5,1), it should support Mojave. Even the 2010 Mac Pro can run Mojave.

I have now tried to download the latest Logic X - only to be stopped with a message saying "You must have OS15.7? to be able to down load Logic X
If you haven't bought Logic Pro X before, now you will need a Mac that runs at least Catalina to buy Logic Pro X. It doesn't have to be your Mac though:
- Find a buddy with a Catalina/Big Sur Mac.
- Ask them to create a temporary user account for you on it.
- When you log in the first time, skip all that Apple ID stuff in the "intro", you won't need it.
- Go straight to the App Store app and log in with your Apple ID.
- Buy Logic. It will download the basic app, some 1+ GB. Your buddy can delete it later.
- Log out of App Store, log out of this temporary user account.
- Tell your buddy to delete your user account on their Mac.
- Go back to your Mac.
- Logic Pro X will now appear in your App Store Purchased tab. Download it. You will be asked if you want to download the last compatible version for High Sierra.
- Download the complete Sound Library and have fun!
I've been through that a month ago, after delaying the upgrade from Logic Studio 9 for many years, upon reading that the brand new Logic 10.6 only runs on Catalina which is the last OS my MacBook Pro Mid-2012 can bear. I already had a Catalina partition installed, so I rebooted and bought Logic X finally, as long as I was "allowed" to. Then I went back to my "mission critical" El Capitan partition, downloaded v10.3.3, and there it is. (Running El Capitan for compatibility with "obsolete", "officially unsupported" but fully functional Firewire audio interfaces…)
