I cannot sync my Google calendar to my new iPhone 12 running iOS 14.2

I have had for several years an environment that uses the Google calendar shared between  Apple devices. Three iPads, a MacBook Pro, a MacBook Air, one iPhone, and one Apple Watch. They all share the Google calendar with no problem.

I just bought an iPhone 12. I am running 14.2 and I’m not able to sync it to the central Google calendar.

I have tried different approaches iCal, Caldav and setting up a Google account on the iPhone 12. None of these attempts makes my calendars visible on my new iPhone?

It it should be noted that the original set up of the shared Google calendar for the above devices was done several years ago. Adding the iPhone 12 is is new.

Any ideas?

Hi arthurfrommillbrook,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to sync Google Calendar to your iPhone 12. We can help point you in the right direction.

Are you using the pre-installed Calendar app or the Google Calendar app on your iPhone? If this is occurring with the Google Calendar app, we recommend to follow the steps outlined on Google's website through this link here: Fix sync problems with the Google Calendar app

If you're experiencing this behavior with the Calendar app, you'll want to go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Gmail. Please make sure that, "Calendars" is toggled on. If it's already toggled on, please turn it off and turn the feature back on. Then test to see if that helps.

Best regards.
