If you replace, the old account will delete and then replace the account on your new Mac, including everything in its home folder." I am migrating info from an older iMac to a new iMac. Should I create a new user name on the new iMac or keep the same? IF I keep the same then do I need to do anything special?

If you keep the same it should be no worry, unless your speaking of Migration Assistant that will demand a new user name for the migrating account.
