What do I need to do when all the watch shows is a bubble with three dots and the word manage underneath?

What do I need to do to get my Apple Watch to work? When I took it off last night and put it on the charger, the screen showed a circle with three dots and underneath the word manage. I could not get it to do anything last night and this morning after charging all night it still shows the same thing.
