Anti-virus

Mac OS , need for virus protection and any other protection. Replacing a PC with a Mac laptop.

I've used Macs for years and have never used any 3rd party protection. See: macOS - Security - Apple

You won't and don't need any for macOS. Everything you need is already built in.
