Settings, General, Usage on my iPhone Watch App, it is not showing any battery info from my watch.

When I go to Settings, General, Usage on my iPhone Watch App, it is not showing any battery info from my watch. On the iphone watch app it gives me the spinning wheel for a couple of minutes then says "Not Connected- check that the watch in on, nearby, and airplane mode is not enabled". The watch is fully charged, 1 inch away from phone and airplane mode is NOT enabled. What is going on? Thanks!

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

Never mind, I put the watch next to the phone, touching the phone, and now the data has shown up on the Iphone watch app with all my watch storage and time since charge info. So strange, I moved it from 1 inch away to about 1 cm away and the data showed up.
