Calories/ move point disappearing

I recently got a new Apple Watch and whenever I work out using the activity app it loads my calories to my ring and then about 5 minutes later deletes them... I still get my exercise minutes but not the calorie points.

Both my iPhone and watch are up to date.

I have tried turning them both off and on again and nothing changes.

I am not using a 3rd party app.

This is so frustrating.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. (I believe you have already tried this.) If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
