Hi Community,
Is anyone else having issues with their battery life on their MacBook Pros (I have a mid-2014 machine)? I am also having issues with the laptop getting very hot resulting in the fan almost constantly being on. These issues were only experienced after the Big Sur update :(
Please can someone assist with a resolution to this? I would love to roll back to the previous version of Mac OS but I am not sure how to?

If it doesn't work, try to run Apple Diagnostics if it reports something related battery(PPT001 to PPT007).

I have reset the SMC and ran the diagnostics tool (which mentioned a problem with the magsafe but that was not connected at the time.
The fan is still running high and the laptop is very hot. I will monitor it though as I believe it could still be hot from me conducting the tests.

The laptop runs very hot and the fan just never seems to go off. The battery life has decreased considerably as well.
I feel like this was a ploy by Apple to force upgrades like what they did with their phones. Makes me think twice about upgrading now.
