How would I delete a "still running" application and I can't close it, even in Force Quit application?

What would I do if the application is deemed "still running" even when the process is not shown in Force Quit? I would like this application uninstalled and I am unable to do such as is. I've restarted and have tried once more with no success.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.0

Did you try quitting the process using Activity Monitor. Else shutdown the computer and start in Safe Mode.

oh! it turns out it was still running although hidden, the Activity Monitor in the Utilities application was able to find it and shut it down, all good now, thanks!!
