How do you recognize and download from a plug in CD player on an IPad Pro?
This has always been the case since the very first iPad model from 2010.
iOS device internal power supplies are NOT powerful enough to drive any type of optical drives and iOS contains no such internally coded drivers or software to use such drives.
No iPad, even an iPad Pro, is a fully featured computing device like a full featured and more flexible MacBook or Windows PC/laptop.
Sorry, but this has been the way it is.
iPads, JUST very recently, got external drive support for data drives, but even at that, iPads and iPadOS work so much better with Flash memory based data storage drives than with any old technology, mechanical spinning platter data storage hard drives.
Again, this is the way it is.
Old style optical drives will never be part of an iPad/iPadOS ecosystem setup ever.!
Optical drives are old technology.
Sorry & Best of Luck to You!
iOS/iPadOS do not support connection of optical media drives - such as CD, DVD and BluRay.
You don’t
Disappointing...but thanks
Thank you for your time and explanation...
