Erroneously moved gift card balance to iTunes account, I need to move back to same gift card

The only way to use a "gift card balance" is to apply it to your Apple ID balance. You don't have to take my word for it, just use the "Related Article" Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support for verification.
I was just following directions on how to check the GIft Card balance--but, Apple pulled a slick swith-a-roo and applied it to my account instead. I just need to reverse this transaction as the card does not belong me. Thanks
