Did you complete the set up where it says “Done”?

If you’ve done that you can try a few things:

  • Reboot wifi modem
  • Once your wifi is back online go to the iOS device you used to set up HomePod and Reset Network Settings in Settings- General - Reset. You will need to re- join your network on your iOS device.
  • Try HomePod again - if it’s still not working, unplug it for 5 seconds plug back in, wait until the white swirling light is gone & test again.
  • If you still have issues you can Restart HomePod from the Home App:

Open the Home App - go to the Room it’s in

Long press on the HomePod icon to bring up settings, scroll down to the gear icon, tap that, scroll to the bottom to Reset HomePod - then select Restart HomePod

Homepod will Restart - wait until the white swirling light is gone & test again.

Make sure your phone isn’t on Lock Screen when you put it near the HomePod. Don’t have iPhone in airplane mode. Wifi & Bluetooth need to be on

Do these steps:

  • Reboot wifi modem
  • Once your wifi is back online go to your iPhone and Reset Network Settings in Settings- General - Reset. You will need to re- join your network on your iOS device.

Then try the set up

Don’t be pushing the top for Siri until you’ve done the set up as instructed:

Set up and use HomePod - Apple Support

Otherwise contact Apple for assistance.
