why is my emoji button gone on my keyboard?

i was texting my friend and all the sudden my emoji button is gone and it’s replaced with this : and when i hold press it it does this : apple please fix this, i cried for hours/days several times. i use emojis in almost all my text messages. once again please fix this -your friend syd
