Try an SMC Reset.

What is the condition of the battery? Option-click the battery icon on the menubar. If it says "Service Battery", then macOS has detected an internal hardware issue with the battery which means the battery needs to be replaced.

Run the Apple Diagnostics to see if it reports any hardware issues.

What is the exact model of your laptop? You can get this information by clicking on the Apple menu and selecting "About This Mac".
