Time Machine Data Gone

Hello, I was attempting to clear space on my laptop in order to update and going through files in "~/Library" and kind of just deleting anything I didn't think I would need. Somehow I ended up deleting the data held in Time Machine. All I was trying to do was clear up the space labeled "other" because it was taking up so much space and I didn't know what it was. I was attempting to go from High Sierra to Big Sur. It wasn't even slightly worth the loss because I still don't have enough space for the update. I'm not sure how I lost all of Time Machine but only gained about 10GB either. I would assume it would be bigger. Is there any way at all that I could retrieve that data?
