Mac will freeze up (unresponsive GUI) at random moments. Can be resolved by keying Command-Tab. Or will sometimes self-resolve by just waiting 2-3 minutes. Can happen running any app (or so it seems), whether or not an external display is attached.

I did the SMC reset, although I had not much hope for it, since I had done it once before, a couple of years ago on advice from your forum. Then I did the NVRAM/PRAM reset. I used the computer for 25-30 minutes and then it happened again. So no joy for this fix, either.
