How to change kilojoules to calories on my apple watch

Hi,

I recently bought an apple watch SE. The fitness and workout apps both record kj instead of cals, which is my preference. I have googled how to change this and have only managed to work out how to change this setting on my phone via the health app, although this change has not come into effect on my watch.

Any help would be much appreciated!
