An important display message after having the screen replaced!

I just had my screen replaced and my phone is indicating“ An important display message - Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine apple display!” Why is it all of a sudden saying this? Did they take something out of my iPhone or do something that caused this! Why? How to avoid?

Who replaced the screen on your phone? If anyone other than Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider, the message is telling you you do not have a genuine Apple screen. This is what happens when non-Apple parts are installed in an iPhone.

No one can install a screen with the same quality as Apple and the display will likely never be as detailed or color-correct. If the phone has Face ID, there's a high probability Face ID will not function on the phone. It likely will never have the same water resistance it did or would have if Apple had replaced the screen. And Apple typically will not ever touch the phone when a 3rd party service opens it or replaces parts on one.
