How do I unlock a disabled ipad 3rd generation?
I forgot my 4-digit pin code and now ipad says disabled, connect to iTunes.
But it won't connect, as iTunes does not recognize the ipad.

If your iPad is disabled, or you have forgotten your iPad passcode, you’ll need to follow this process:
If you’ve forgotten the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled – Apple Support
You’ll need access to either a PC (with iTunes installed) or a Mac (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of MacOS). If your iPad is not recognised by your computer when connected, this support page may be helpful with troubleshooting:

If you are 100% sure you forgot your passcode, you can boot the device into Recovery Mode and reset it to factory defaults. If you have Find My iPad on, you will need to have your Apple ID login ready in order to get past the Activation Lock.
