Ipod touch 4th Gen "connect to Itunes" and power button and home button dont work

So i've wanted to get into my old Ipod touch 4th gen for a long time now but I can't get into it because I got the password wrong too many times now it says "connect to Itunes" and here's the problem the power button on the top of the ipod doesn't work as well as the home button so it is impossible to get it into recovery mode. Ive tried cleaning the power button with rubbing alcohol like the internet saids but it doesn't work. Any other tips?
