Two-factor authentication for Apple ID

If you already use two-factor authentication, you can no longer turn it off. Certain features in the latest versions of iOS and macOS require this extra level of security, which is designed to protect your information. If you recently updated your account, you can unenroll for two weeks. Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings. Keep in mind, this makes your account less secure and means that you can't use features that require higher security.

I’m not quite sure how long ago you activated two factor authentication on your Apple ID however, when doing so, you should’ve received an e-mail from Apple confirming your enrollment into two factor authentication. I have never turned off my two factor authentication on my Apple ID, so unfortunately I cannot speak from my own personal experience, but this is another option that I know maybe available to those that want to, like yourself:

1. Find the email sent to you by Apple which is called the “two-factor authentication enrollment email” sent to you on the same email ID where you have set up Apple ID.
2. At the end of this email, you will find a link which reverts you to previous security settings for your Apple ID.
3. Click on this link and follow on-screen instructions to revert back to the previous state and disable 2-Factor Authentication.
