Game Center with iPhone 12 Pro

So, how do I make Game Center stop treating my phone like an advertisement? Every time I try to play a game the game center pops up. Which was ok as a banner. But with my new iPhone 12 Pro Game Center now pops up every time asking me to "continue" with a description of all the features of why I should have Game Center. I have it, I just want it to go back to being a banner that I can swipe away instead of taking up my entire screen and making me touch "continue" every time I open a game/log in.
