iPhone se sync problem

i have a new iPhone SE 128gb. when i sync my phone to my MacBook i get an alert saying: The iPhone “iPhone (6s) (3)” cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all the items on your Mac (additional 12,77 GB required). I have 36gb available on my phone. All my music is on my phone because i just recently installed it, but for some reason my playlists are not loaded and two new songs which i added on my MacBook cannot be added to my phone because of this error. My iPad 4 syncs fine and my iPhone 6 syncs fine both are 128GB as well

Hello nadeemachmad,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having issues with your new iPhone SE and syncing with your Mac. Did you happen to install a backup from your iPhone 6 to your iPhone SE? Just trying to sort out why the Mac would identify it as a different model device. If you go to Settings > General > About > Name, is it named as an iPhone 6s?

You mentioned that the error you receive is related to storage. If you connect to your Mac and follow the direction in article, How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, section: Use Finder or iTunes to check the storage on your iOS device, is the amount of free storage shown a match to what shows on your iPhone?

As for the songs you're unable to sync, are those iTunes purchases, MP3's from elsewhere, or from CD's you've imported to your music library?

Best regards.

Yes it is a back up from my iPhone 6, strange enough the iPhoneSE comes up as an iPhone 6 when I check it’s name. I restored my iPhone using the backup and all my music was synced except one song which I added recently because I still cannot sync the iPhone SE. The space available on my iPhone SE is 30gb the error message says I need 12gb. My playlist has disappeared on my iPhone SE but my iPhone 6 and iPad sync perfectly

Hello nadeemachmad,.

We appreciate you continuing to provide us with updates. Given that the storage amount isn't showing up accurately for what's available, it would be good to contact Apple Support so they can look into this with you. You can reach them at Get Support.

Take care!
