How can I update iOS over cellular data?
Is there any straight forward way to update iOS over cellular data?
I have 4G and a stable connection nearly everywhere I go (Telstra coverage in Australia). 4G is faster than my home internet plan. I also have 50GB download per month which I never come close to using.
I understand providing a warning that it may incur additional costs from my telco, but completely blocking it seems like we're being treated like children, and as if we're living in 2010 when excess data charges were exorbitant.
The only way I've found around this, is by activating hotspot, and connect via USB to my laptop. Then iTunes will download the update via my phone's data.
