It isn’t possible to “bypass” the device Passcode. If the device is disabled, or the Passcode has been forgotten, you have no alternative other than to follow this procedure:
If you’ve forgotten the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled – Apple Support
The process will erase all locally stored data, however, you’ll be able to restore your iCloud or iTunes backup to the iPad at conclusion of the process. You’ll need access to either a PC (with iTunes installed) or a Mac (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of MacOS).
You’ll also need your AppleID and associated password. If these have also been forgotten, they can be recovered here:
To recover your credentials, you’ll need access to one of the following:
Unless you AppleID account has not been fully/correctly configured, or has been seriously neglected, recovery of the AppleID and password should not be difficult.

You restore the ipad to factory settings as outlined here If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
