iPad mini 4th gen

I am looking for a user guide. Tech specs say my device has OS12. I can only find iPad mini user guide with OS14 in the Apple store.

Will this cause me problems?

You can find User Guides for most versions of iOS/iPadOS here - in both online and downloadable (AppleBooks) versions:
