I'm continually getting Verification failed when I try to sign into my Apple ID. I've reset my password using my laptop, but when I try to sign in on my phone I get the error that there was a error connecting to the Apple ID server. I'll also switched off wifi and am using data. I'd appreciate some help. Thanks

Some things you can try. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.
If necessary
Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
