Lost some of my contacts and can't figure out where they went. Also my V-Card won't import

When you noticed that some of your contacts went missing, do you recall removing any email accounts from the iPhone? The email accounts you add to your iPhone can contain contact information and can be displayed in your contact list on your device. If you remove that email account, those contacts will also be removed. You can see more about adding contacts via an email account here:
