Apple Music Family Sharing Library Sync

Hi there! So I previously have set up family sharing on Apple Music with my entire family. I have added all 3 individuals correctly, and they’re all signed into their individual iCloud accounts. For 2 of the family members, getting onto Apple Music worked seamlessly. However, for the third family member, when they go onto Apple Music it says they must sync their library, and when I click that, it says it’s syncing iCloud library, but never finishes and continues loading forever. This family member has no other music to sync on from any other devices, so I don’t know why it is taking so long, and this didn’t happen to any of the other two family members. Please help!

Howdy 378hjskckv,

We see that you're attempting to set up Apple Music on a device, but being prompted to sync the library, and we'd be glad to provide some information on this.

Are you aware if the family member that is using the device has signed in with their Apple ID on a computer with iTunes or another device before? If so, this would be why they're being prompted to sync the library.

We'd recommend leaving the device connected to Wi-Fi to allow the process to occur to see if that will complete while it isn't in use.

We'd also recommend taking a look at the following resource which covers what the Sync Library is, and how it works:

Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music

We hope this helps to provide some information on what you're experiencing.

Cheers!
