USB FILES TO Ipad Pro 2nd generation

Wit's end!

Need photos and WORD files from my WINDOWS 10 laptop to be transferred to my iPad Pro 12.9" 2nd generation iPad.


Tried USB cable, tried wireless, tried Bluetooth. Tried free software called phototransfer.app.

The software was partielly sucessful in transferring several photos, but cannot get it to work a second time for more.


Everywhere I search or try, I keep getting pages and pages of useful (I am sure) hints and technobabble.


Even seeking a SIMPLE solution like a USB flashdrive that fits and works on both the laptop and the iPad is a nightmare of warnings and conditions. I wish the APPLE store were open.


Look, folks. I have an ipad pro 12.9 2nd generation. I have a Windows 10 Laptop.

Can I not buy a flashdrive that copies files from the one, plugs into the other and lets me place them on the ipad? No technobabble. It just plin works.


Appreciate you suggestions folks.

Other potential options include installing and using iTunes on your PC to directly move files - or to install a third-part App such as iMazing:

Given your stated objective, bearing in mind that you only have 5GB of “free” iCloud storage (paid 50GB, 200GB and 2TB tiers are available), you may need to transfer files in batches - deleting from iCloud after copying content to iPad local storage. Your needs will largely determine your workflow.
