Heart rate is allowed. It shows in every exercise except walking and running. If I open Watch - exercise - more information - running and there are some options to show while exercising. Option for heart rate is just grey. I can’t click on it.
Make sure that you don't have Workout Power Saving Mode tuned on.
This turns off the heart rate sensor.
From your iPhone>Watch>Workout>Power Saving Mode>toggle this off
