Printer Error

I connected a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2020hc to my MB Pro 13inch, 2018.

The first time I connected it and printed it, it requested to add printer and installed a driver of its own and was finished with the Setup. When I click on anything to print, it would say incoming in the queue and disappear.

I did some googling, and it advised to download the proper HP driver, so I downloaded a software called HP Easy Start and via that software it installed two other software called HP Utility and HP easy scan ( I don't think this is necessary but I installed it anyways).

Now so after all the installations were done, when I try to print, I get the error Printing - Waiting for printer to become available. So I just restarted my laptop thinking that it will update the new driver but as soon as it rebooted, the printer started working. So now everytime I print anything, I get the same error ' Printing - Waiting for printer to become available ' and I have to restart my laptop for the printer to work.

Does anyone know any solutions to this problem?

Hello Amriesh031,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

We understand that after connecting your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage printer to your MacBook Pro. You were able to connect it and installed an HP driver and finished the setup. But it is not printing. We would recommend starting with the following support article to address printing issues on your MacBook Pro.
