Save my Word documents so I can have them in my new MacBook Air

I’m thinking about buying a new laptop. I have a MacBook Air, and I was wondering how can I save my word documents so I can have them in my new laptop. I’m an student and I need all those documents. Thank you!

Back up your old MacBook Air with Time machine https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201250

Then move your content to the new Mac https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204350

If you have an older version of Word that is still 32-bit, you’ll need to subscribe to a new version or use the free Libre Office for Mac
