My Garageband app appeared to be corrupted (wouldn't start up), so I deleted it with the idea of reinstalling it...
BUT, I cannot find a legitimate source from where to do this. I could find only the current version of Garageband on the Apple site, which doesn't appear to run on Mojave.
Any ideas from where I can install a working version of Garageband for Mojave?

I looked in my purchased list and found a 2015 version there.

If you've downloaded GarageBand previously under your current Apple ID, look under "Purchased" in the App Store and download it from there.
Did you try going to the Mac App Store and searching "Garageband"?
Do you have it on a Time Machine backup fromn where you could restore it?
Yes, and as with the Apple site, it only seems to make available only the current version where it states "Compatibility Mac OS 11.0 or later" and I am running Mojave 10.14.6.
