Sim card

I purchased a new phone for my mom at Christmas. I purchased the SE.

unfortunately her old phone is an I phone 4. The SIM card does not fit in her new phone. How do I get one that fits?

Get a new nano-SIM from the carrier.

iPhone 4 micro-SIM will not fix the iPhone SE.

swap a sim card into a different phone my daughter's I-Phone XR screen is damaged. With the Apple stores temporarily shut down we need to get a phone working temporarily for her. Can i swap out the sim card from her phone into one of our old iPhones? What's the process if it's a yes?

Some larger SIMs have perforations so the edges can be snapped off to make the SIM smaller.
