IMOVIE TAKING AWAY UPLOADING TO YOUTUBE

Why would apple take the option of uploading from iMovie straight to YouTube away? Do they not realize that these MacBooks don't come with that much storage to begin with. It made uploading so much more effective cause it wouldn't take up storage. Fix Plz

Direct uploading to You Tube was a nice feature. However, based on reports posted here, it was not very reliable for many people.

The most reliable way to upload to You Tube is, and always has been, exporting to the desktop or other destination and from there dragging into You Tube’s upload window.

You must have been one of the lucky ones for whom it worked OK.

Once you have uploaded to YT it only takes a few seconds to delete the movie to free up space.

Many editors use cheap portable USB 3.0 HDDs attached to their computers when editing. An insanely large 4TB HDD (about the size of a pack of cards) will set you back around £80 whilst smaller ones are much cheaper.

I’m not sure where your getting these reports but here’s one for you.. I’ve had YouTube for 1 year 1/2 and have been uploading with iMovie since, and it never gave me one issue uploading. I have over 80+ videos that were uploaded through iMovie, and it’s ridiculous that the option is gone when it obviously wasn’t negatively effecting anyone.

I've been using direct upload to Youtube from Mac iMovie for ages without a problem! And now it lets me choose the option but then, it exports a file that I have to manually upload myself via web browser. So I have to wait to export it, and then, wait AGAIN to upload it!

I know this is a first world problem but I'm so disappointed in this feature being taken away!

It used to be super comfy to do everything in one step. Too bad for Apple and Youtube, I don't know whose was this great idea :(

Thank you for the link but it feels like venting to a wall, much like posting here, I guess. Note that in the form they feature "Vine" as an option to upload videos and that site doesn't exist anymore!
