Multiple iphones on appleID

Hi, I have an apple ID and all 3 of my daughters' iphones are linked to this ID. One of my daughters just recently got an iPhone 12 & linked it to my apple ID. Now, my 8yo daughter is getting all of her sister's text messages / calls etc. I just logged in to my apple ID to try to sort this, but having trouble going into the relevant settings. Any help greatly appreciated ??

You should never multiple people on the same Apple ID. Use Family Sharing to manage the new Apple IDs. Add your Apple ID to it, and the newly created ones that you've made for your daughters. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204316 https://www.apple.com/family-sharing/ The reason they are getting the same messages is because Messages (regardless of whether iMessages or not) synchronises messages and calls, are synced between apple devices (eg; I can take a call on my mac).

It lets you share app purchases and subscriptions, but keeps personal data private. If the reason you had the same Apple ID was parental controls, just use 'Screen Time' to set limits, and 'Ask to buy' to stop them from overusing their devices, but more importantly, the latter stops them from buying or even downloading free apps without your permission [It sends a notification to your device, which you can open, and shows you the info about the app and lets you accept and decline the purchase / download].

If under 13 years old, you will need to set up Family Sharing to create an ID.

Family Sharing and Apple ID for your child.

When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion. Also set up Family Sharing between the IDs to keep access to your apps/purchases.
