Macbook air is beeping

My macbook air keeps beeping when I first go on it in the morning if I try and do any activity. It is not a regular beeping sound but is glitchy and constant. It ends if i turn my macbook on and off again. Is this a sign of a wider problem and is there any other way to tackle this?
