Unable to create a bootable install media (MacOs High Sierra) on a Mac running Catalina

When trying to create a bootable (Mac OS High Sierra) USB drive on a Mac running Catalina I followed the instructions given on the instruction page including changing the italics "MyVolume" to the name I gave the drive. After inputing my password the error "Command Not Found" is returned. I've done this before and it worked, but not recently.

How large is the installer app? If it is not in the 5GB to 6GB range, then you didn't get the full installer and it won't work.

I would assume you should have gotten the full installer instead of the "stub" installer, but I've never been certain on when it decides to give you that.

Just confirm that Install macOS High Sierra is in your Applications folder, it is about 6GB in size, and you are using the command for High Sierra (not the one for Catalina).

As an aside, there is no point in changing the volume name. Just name it MyVolume. It will change the name to Install macOS High Sierra, so there is no point in giving it any other name.
