2015 Early Pro Retina 13" Display not recognized

2015 Early Pro Retina 13" Big Sur - Display screen not recognized. Apple logo on back NOT lit but screen Webcam functions perfectly. Issue began suddenly when lid was closed and reopened minutes later with no display. External monitor works fine on HDMI port. Have tried all NVRAM, SMC & PRAM resets. Apple store replaced the battery several weeks ago due to swelling (at $200) which was not covered under same recall that covered the 2015 15" swelling battery. Returned to Apple store (thinking maybe loose cable after repair) and they suggested a new screen at $500, but they were not sure that was the problem as tech said he got the display to work briefly with the NVRAM reset. I have not been able to duplicate. Not willing to throw another $500 at it as screen (cracked) was replaced earlier this year with a new apple display and has worked fine but is now out of repair warranty period.

. . .and never mind - Display is working fine . . . for now!! I finally opened it up myself and the display cable was pinched in the corner by the screw that holds the back cover on - wire went over instead of under the retaining clip. Makes sense that the tech got it to work with the back cover off. Probably pinched in the battery repair and just took time to get wiggled and crushed enough to short-out or disconnect something. I fixed the pinch point and massaged the wires to reshape and maybe squeeze the insulation back in place enough - hopefully the damage is not too bad as I cannot micro splice wires.
