i have an IPhone 6. It’s working perfectly except for an issue with my Apple ID. I would like to reset (full reset) the device. Understand that the latest IOS Software is not compatible with IPhone 6. So is it safe to factory reset now? Kindly advise.

I needed to check my reply. The reset does restore the iOS currently on the phone, including any updates that have been installed. The process should set up the phone ready for the next user with all your personal information removed. I personally cannot guarantee the results, but that is what should happen.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I wish to give to a family member after factory reset. So as I understand from your reply, the IPhone 6 will get reset to a compatible version by itself, rt? it will not get hang (and useless later) during the reset process, rt?
