Launching app teleconference

I am trying to connect my new iPad to polycom video visits for state correctional institute. When I get to the part to connect it tells me I have to download a launcher on my iPhone it goes right to the app and connects. It will not work on my iPad -

iPad, iPadOS 14

For either of you:


The reason I ask is because the screenshot shows what looks like a browser window attempting to download a Windows executable file, not an iPad app trying to start up.


Polycom's RealPresence comes in both Desktop (Windows/Mac) and Mobile versions. Are you sure you obtained "Polycom RealPresence Mobile" or "Polycom RealPresence Mobile HD" from Apple's App Store?


You should probably be looking to Polycom's support staff, not the DOC.

I'm not sure whether it is relevant or not, but when I use follow the link from the maker's website to get the mobile app from the App Store. I am told that it works ONLY on iPhone, not on iPad. (This is the Mac App Store telling me that.)

When I look it up directly in the App Store on my iPad Pro, it says in requires iPadOS 12.4 or later. I assume you have that, or it should have refused to install it.


Maybe the iPadOS version is still flaky, maybe flakier than the iPhone version.


Also, I note that version 3.11.2 was released a week ago with unspecified bug fixes. Make sure you have the latest update.

Yes - same instructions. When I reached out to DOC they told me they didn’t have a help desk - I reached out to Apple and they told me they KNEW it was because an update was needed - so we’ll see tomorrow if the update was the reason but I’m thinking it has nothing to do w update - all my settings on my iPhone are the same as the iPad so I’m extremely confused
